1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet
1983 was the last year of the 911SC before it was replaced by the Carrera. SC stands for Super Carrera and is equipped with the 3.0 liter engine. This 1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet was originally a Targa version, but was converted to a Cabriolet in 1985 by a Porsche dealership in Germany using only OEM parts. The conversion was done extremely well and cannot be distinguished from an original Convertible.
The car is repainted in its original color Grand Prix White at some point and features a black convertible top, amber fog lights and dual side mirrors. The 16″ Fuchs wheels with black centers are still in excellent condition.
The cabin features newer electric adjusted sport seats in Gray leather along with a black dashboard, gray leather door panels, and carpets. A newer Sony radio was installed at some point. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 240-kmh speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 127k km.
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 204 horsepower. Prior to the sale the car was completely gone through and received a new battery, fuel filter, oil, oil filter, spark plugs and wires, new alternator, fresh tune up and new trunk and engine cover dampers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows factory colors, optional equipment and that engine and transmission is original to the car.
We can arrange Belgian, Dutch, French or German registration.
Overall this is an extremely clean Convertible that costs considerable less than an original example.
